Recycling Discover Hub creates VR experience to educate children about recycling

The ACT’s Recycling Discover Hub has launched a virtual reality experience to teach children about the process of recycling.

Located at the recycling facility at Hume in the ACT, the VR headsets will allow children to operate machines and step inside the recycling facility to sort rubbish, pick it up and play educational mini-games involving recycling.

Created and developed by Protein One and Rotor Studios, primary school classes can use the VR equipment to interact together and play alongside one another.

The experience is aimed at educating school children about the importance of recycling and the positive impact it has on the world.
