Red Agency, PR Edge and Ogilvy PR bag a two gongs each at PRIA’s Golden Target Awards
Red Agency was named the large consultancy of the year while Ogilvy PR was recognised for its work with Al Jazeera for the release of Peter Greste at last night’s Golden Target Awards in Hobart.
Those agencies along with PR Edge were the only multiple winners on a night when the awards were evenly spread, with Ogilvy winning in the issues and crisis category and international campaign of the year, while Red Agency was also named the winner of the government sponsored category for the Easy Tour HIV testing week initiative.
PR Edge won the community relations and national campaign of the year awards for its Yellow Pages: R U OK? work.
Emma Kershaw of Dairy Australia was named the top sPRinter of 2015 and University of Newcastle’s Melanie James picking up the PR educator of the year award.
Regatta Hotel was named in-house PR team of the year, while the gay rugby club the Sydney Convicts won for the small budget/pro bono category for the Tackling Homophobia in Sport campaign.
Red Agency was also named the winner of the government sponsored category for the Easy Tour HIV testing week initiative.
The evening also saw PRIA national secretary Arthur E. Delbridge recognised for his contribution to the PR industry with the industry veteran being awarded the President’s Award.
