Red Agency named local communications agency for Bio-Oil skincare brand

Skincare brand Bio-Oil has appointed Red Agency as its local communications agency of record.

While Red Agency currently works with parent company Aspen, the new account win will expand the agency’s remit. Currently, Red Agency works on projects and retainer agreements for Gastro-Stop and S-26/Alula brands.

As part of the appointment, Red Agency will handle communications strategy, driving media relations, collaborating with local agencies to maximise influencer engagement and engage with healthcare professionals, retailers and partner organisations.

Red Agency won the account following a competitive pitch and commenced work on January 1.

Michelle Quinn, Aspen Australia’s marketing manager for consumer said Red Agency’s “insightful strategic approach” made them a stand out.

“2018 will be one of the biggest years yet for the Bio-Oil brand so I’m thrilled to be entering it with such a strong communications partner,” Quinn said.

Red Agency consumer practice head, Adam Freedman, said it was an exciting opportunity for the agency.

“While Bio-Oil is already used by many Aussies every day, we’re looking forward to partnering with them to build the brand further in the coming months and bringing its story to life,” Freedman said.

“We have a number of dynamic brands in our stable and 2018 is shaping up as an exciting year where we will have great opportunities to push ourselves even further, creatively and strategically.”

Red Agency’s latest account win comes three months after securing the Booking.com PR account. In the last year, Red Agency was also appointed PR agency for renewably energy company Neoen, won Mumbrella’s CommsCon Award for large agency of the year and attained the Toyota account.

Red Agency’s clients include Toyota, Cadbury, Heineken, Western Sydney University, Qatar Airways and Chandon.
