Red Agency has won the PR account for the new Sydney Zoo

Red Agency will lead Sydney Zoo’s pre-launch, opening and ongoing PR program.

As part of its roles and responsibilities, the PR firm will also handle the zoo’s influencer engagement, content development, issues management, media relations and grow its brand awareness.

Meanwhile, Loyal Creative Agency will be responsible for Sydney Zoo’s brand and website development.

Magnum & Co will lead the zoo’s video content production and paid media assets.

Chris Rivett, head of marketing at Sydney Zoo, said in a statement: “Sydney Zoo is set to be one of Australia’s top tourism destinations and family attractions and we look forward to working with our passionate partners to tell this rich story and generate national interest ahead of our launch early next year.”

The zoo hit the headlines earlier this year when Taronga Zoo – occupying a prominent position on Sydney’s harbour foreshore – sued Sydney Zoo on the basis that its name was confusing and would mislead would-be zoo visitors.

The two zoos ultimately settled the dispute.

Red Agency’s clients include ToyotaVividNeoenBio-Oil, and Booking.com.
