Red Rooster asks customers to nominate favourite food that has disappeared from its menu

Chicken chain Red Rooster is running a social media campaign encouraging consumers to let them know which is their favourite meal which has been dropped from the menu.

Created by 303Lowe Perth the commercial features a man trying to choose a shirt, with his girlfriend showing him the various options before he reaches his favourite. The protagonist is again played by Melbourne-based actor Hernan Palacio, who starred in previous commercials for the chain, as well as rivals Nando’s.

Mike Naylor, business director at 303Lowe Perth said: “The aim is to have a conversation with our loyal customers. There are many passionate Red Rooster advocates out there and we constantly get their feedback on the products they miss from our past menus. We felt the time was right to show we’re always listening and that we really enjoy getting their ideas.

“The ultimate aim is to show them that they have a say on what we do by bringing back a true Red Rooster favourite menu item they have asked for.”

It is the first stage of a large national campaign focused on engaging the brand’s social media community to help the restaurant rediscover products that have fallen off the menu.

Running primarily through Red Rooster’s Facebook community initially, it is set to extend into media in the coming weeks.
