Ricki-Lee Coulter dropped from Nova breakfast
DMG’s Nova network has revealed shakeups for its Sydney breakfast and national drivetime lineups in 2011.
Ricki-Lee Coulter is leaving the Sydney breakfast show, being replaced by national drive presenter Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond.
The national drive show will now be a double act, with the network pairing Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli with Nova Adelaide breakfast host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, a former Big Brother contestant.

The Adelaide Bfast market has had so many changes this year but havent seen any reports on mumbo (that I can recall, doesn’t mean there hasnt been any)
Yes, I know most of you don’t care, but I do and so do a lot of National clients who still spend good money there.
Nova Adelaide Breakfast Update
Nova 919 today announced Rod and the Flack as the new breakfast team for 2011.
Rod and the Flack, who teamed up in 2005, said, “We couldn’t be more pumped to take on the challenge of Breakfast at Nova in Adelaide. As appealing as the counter-offer to work in the Chilean mines was, the Nova 919 gig was marginally more attractive.”
Nova 919 General Manager Sean O’Brien said, “Rod and the Flack are great blokes who are mad about their footy. We’re excited about the energy and passion they’ll bring to Adelaide and to Nova 919.”
Claire Murphy will continue to have an integral role in the breakfast show.
Fitzy, Claire and Jules will continue on air until 3 December 2010 and Fitzy will be heard in Drive in 2011.
Glad Ricki Lee is gone. She is not radio material. Monty is ok. Glay Ryan Shelton decided to quit. Career in TV? I dont think so. has anyone told him HE IS NOT FUNNY!!!?
Good call Nova in getting rid of Ricki-Lee – heaps annoying! Don’t particularly think Monty is a good fit either.
When Monty filled in a few weeks back with Merrick and Dool, I thought she was great, and I’m glad she got the gig.
Bloody brilliant…at least nova have the balls to make these sort of changes – heres to hoping new competition in Drive and Bfast will even the score against boring old austereo.

This is simply wolf eats wolf. In terms of brains I disagree tha Monty will bring more brains to the team. She laughs hysterically so often that it’s irritating. Neither has the marriage of brain and beauty or either for that matter. And why only young girls? There are super intelligent and funny cougars out there who’d shot the ratings through the roof better than any 24-28-year-old in fact. So, get them on board! Mix and match. Age and brains and beauty. Get out of the closed-minded imperative of having to have a ‘young’ team. Seriously.

What Nova really needs to do to lift their ratings – stop the TPG and AMI ads that are on every ad break more than 100 times a day – especially in the mornings. And those ads that you make the radio presenters “bring into casual conversation” is horrible – I wonder why Sydney Nova’s ratings have been slipping…!
