Ridley Scott’s biblical Exodus: Gods & Kings cannot beat The Hunger Games

Ridley Scott’s biblical movie Exodus: Gods & Kings which tells the story of Moses, pulled in $2.685m across 504 screens in its opening weekend. However it was not enough to push Jennifer Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 from the top spot.

The penultimate Hunger Games movie grabbed $3.039m across 549 screens taking its total Aussie box office to a whopping $25.733m in three weeks.

Disney movie Alexander And The Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day moved into third place after grabbing $1.183m across 255 screens, having built from a slow release two weeks ago.
