Introducing Ron Mather One

of Australia’s most respected and awarded creative talents, Ron Mather is a partner in the consultancy It’s The Thought That Counts. The name gives an insight into Ron’s attitude.

Ron has twice been voted Australian Creative Director of the year by BRW magazine, has been inducted into the AWARD Hall of Fame and Melbourne Art Directors Club Hall of Fame. He’s been a judge at Cannes and was the first Australian to be Chairman of the New York Clio awards.

Ron is a great supporter of Australian talent. He’s been responsible for some of Australia’s most popular and successful campaigns and will make an outstanding Chairman for the TADA.

TADA Founder Mark Ringer on the appointment of Ron.

“Ron’s profound impact on the industry over decades cannot be overstated but what’s more he contributes to the local creative landscape through his work on The Maria Island Walk. We are very fortunate that he has chosen to Chair the judging”.

 On the jury.

“Tracey, Peter, Niels and Adrian’s credentials are top-flight, indeed Tracey and Adrian created the Best of Show work in Design and in Advertising respectively at the last TADA. In keeping with the goal of nurturing a uniquely Tasmanian vernacular, it is vital that the majority of the jury is familiar with the circumstances in which the work was created, and therefore locally-based.”

The judging will take place in Hobart on Monday February 10th awards and the presentation night will follow swiftly afterwards on Thursday February 13th at The Peacock Theatre in Salamanca.

The Tasmania Advertising & Design Awards is a biennial show that aims to establish and nurture a uniquely Tasmanian commercial creative vernacular; to raise standards in commercial creativity, and to celebrate the very best of what we do.
