Ron Ramaiya joins media agency Audience Group as director of analytics, research and insights

Independent media agency Audience Group has hired Ron Ramaiya as director of analytics, research and insights.

Ramaiya joins from Seven West Media where he spent over five years as the head of enterprise, analytics and insights, developing the business’ digital and data product offering.

Previously, Ramaiya spent almost five years at AMP, holding a variety of data science roles including digital project lead for analytics and insights.

Ramaiya noted the value of data analytics during the pandemic.

“In times like these, it makes sense for companies to have a greater reliance on data analytics. The decisions made by businesses during difficult times need to be particularly well thought out, and in the right hands analytics provide clarity and reassurance,” he said.

“It’s not enough to find insights. They must be actionable and provide a clear line of site to the clients commercial outcomes. We’re driving outcomes like appointments, walk-ins, sales, sign ups, registrations, churn reduction, and consumer spend growth. We’re providing evidence-based advertising strategies and consumer analytics that helps marketers spend their budgets cleverly.”

Audience Group director and co-founder, James McDonald, praised Ramaiya’s mix of skills.

Last month, Audience Group hired Sam Grimwood as head of digital and analytics.
