Ronan Keating returns to Smoothfm to host his own Sunday night show

Ronan Keating is retunring to Smoothfm to host his own Sunday night show.

The announcement:

Respected singer and songwriter Ronan Keating returns to smooth to host his own Sunday night show from Sunday 21 November at 7pm.

Ronan Keating’s 90’s show will feature many of his favourite tracks, some of the biggest songs and artists from this era, to create a feel-good soundtrack that includes Bryan Adams’ Have you ever Really Loved A Woman”, Whitney Houston’s I’m Every Woman, Prince’s The Most Beautiful Girl In The World as well as songs from George Michael, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Spice Girls and Boyzone.

Keating is no stranger to smoothfm’s line up having made his debut over Christmas in 2012, before returning in January 2013 and 2019 to host a series of weekend shows on the station.

Peter Clay, NOVA Entertainment’s Head of Programming smoothfm said, “Ronan has been a regular on smooth over the past nine and a half years. He’s an amazing artist, having created huge hits during the 90’s as part of one of the most successful boy bands, making him the perfect person to host this new show. He has been an absolute joy to work with over the years and we can’t wait to share this new show with listeners with Ronan doing the shows from home while travel is restricted.”

Keating has defined pop music over two decades and has just released the intimate album “Songs From Home” that hand picks twelve homeland songs and celebrates his love for Irish music.

The celebrated international musician is one of the world’s most recognisable artists selling over 25 million records as part of Boyzone, one of the most successful boy bands in history. He has achieved great success as a solo artist with 30 consecutive Top 10 singles, 10 studio albums and selling over 20 million records. Keating also co-hosts the Magic breakfast show in the UK.

Ronan Keating is the latest in a long list of high profile artists and personalities to join the smoothfm line-up including Sir Rod Stewart, Michael Bublé, Olivia Newton-John, Neil Diamond, Elton John and Dolly Parton.
