Ross Greenwood joins Sky News Australia as business editor

Nine Network’s former business and finance editor Ross Greenwood has landed a new role as business editor at Sky News Australia.

Greenwood will also serve as anchor of Business Weekend, and is set to be tasked with leading the network’s business coverage, and will also contribute expert insights and analysis across Sky News programs.

Greenwood brings over 40 years experience covering Australian business news to the role, with Business Weekend broadcasting on Foxtel’s Sky News and free to air Sky News on WIN.

The show will see Greenwood host interviews with CEOs, business leaders, regulators, politicians and business influencers and provide viewers with market and real estate updates and the latest news on business deals around town.

He’ll be joined by The Australian economics editor Adam Creighton each week, who’ll soon be the paper’s Washington Correspondent.

Sky News Australia CEO, Paul Whittaker, said: “We warmly welcome Ross to Sky News Australia. With decades of experience reporting on business and finance news, Ross will provide our viewers with comprehensive coverage.

“As the nation starts the recovery process from the global pandemic, expert analysis and finance insights have never been more important.”

Greenwood added: “In a world where change happens so rapidly, it is exciting to join a dynamic news organisation dedicated to breaking news and holding business and political leaders to account. I can’t wait to go.”

Business Weekend with Ross Greenwood premieres on Sunday, 31 January.
