Rosso to return for Mumbrella Awards
Comedian Tim Ross is to host next month’s Mumbrella Awards.
Rosso’s appearance comes a year after he rescued the awards from disaster by stepping in when host Charlie Pickering became ill shortly before being due on stage.
Ross currently hosts ARN’s drivetime show on KiisFM in Sydney and MixFM in Melbourne. Last month he took the top FM slot in Sydney for the first time with a ratings share of 10.5 per cent.
The awards take place at the Star Event Centre in Sydney on the night of Thursday June 5, following Mumbrella360.
The shortlists for the awards were announced last week. A roving jury has been visiting finalist creative agencies in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland this week and another will be touring media agencies on Monday. Also taking place in Singapore on Monday is judging of the APAC awards categories captained by Trinity P3’s Darren Woolley. And Tuesday will see ten juries sitting simultaneously in Sydney to hear from finalists in other categories.
The Mumbrella Awards will also feature music from Hot Dub Time Machine. They will be followed by an afterparty at The Star’s Marquee nightclub with music from Groove Academy.
