Rudd an egomaniac? No…
Dr Mumbo often wonders why Labor’s critics and even some in the media accuse Kevin Rudd of being an egomaniac.
Seriously it’s hard to fathom…

Could he be pulling a Stephen Colbert?

Feel like he may not be the first politician to do this.

The term that psychologists would use about Rudd is “grandiosity”.
Grandiosity grows from deep insecurities, and becomes a defensive shield of self importance and bombast.
That in turn feeds extreme narcissism, to the point where he is now disconnected from his own sense of self and others.
He genuinely believes that he is the second coming of Christ, because that’s his distorted reality.
What’s even scarier is those (who are closer to “normal”) going along with it, purely so they can keep their well paid jobs. Have we not seen this happen before in history?
Do we not remember the terrible outcome?

This presser was in PNG and the pic was put there by their people. Next to it (out of shot) is a pic of the PNG PM. Rudd didn’t have a choice.
So cool story bro but completely out of context.
