Ten announces Rugby tour sponsors

Network Ten has announced six top-tier sponsors for its coverage of the British and Irish Lions tour.

Network Ten today announced six top-tier sponsors for its highly anticipated coverage of the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour, the biggest rugby festival in Australia.

TEN’s broadcast of the Qantas Wallabies-British & Irish Lions three-match Test is supported by Swisse, Land Rover Australia, Samsung, AMP, The Walt Disney Studios Australia’s The Lone Ranger, and Unilever’s CLEAR Men Scalp Therapy.

Network Ten Chief Sales Officer, Barry O’Brien, said: “The British & Irish Lions tour has been 12 years in the making. It is Event TV at its best.

“Sponsors could not wait to be part of RU on TEN. The level of demand was extraordinary.
“We are just as excited as our valued sponsors to be part of the British & Irish Lions tour and we are looking forward to enjoying all the action, live on TEN,” he said.

As the exclusive free-to-air broadcaster of all Wallabies matches until 2015, TEN will deliver all the analysis, action and electric atmosphere from this historic tour.

Legendary Australian player John Eales is the latest addition to TEN’s commentary team, along with the Voice of Rugby – Gordon Bray – Wallabies greats Matt Burke and Stirling Mortlock, and Scott Mackinnon from TEN Sport.
