Rusty appoints We Are Digital

Interactive agency We Are Digital has been hired to create a strategy for surf brand Rusty.  

The announcement:

WeAreDigital has been appointed by surf brand Rusty to create a global digital strategy and website to ensure the brand continues to be relevant and connects with its core audience.

“Rusty is an iconic brand that has never been scared to push the envelope on what’s considered different and approach tradition with originality and innovative thinking. We aim to support this notion with its digital strategy,” said WeAreDigital founder, Karson Stimson.

Rusty International marketing manager, Skye McCrae added: “To be a global brand with global consistency and relevance it is essential that we have a singular digital roadmap and global platform that enables our Rusty customer to connect with their chosen lifestyle pursuits over the relevant channels whilst being curated by the Rusty brand.”

WeAreDigital will work closely with Rusty to create a platform that balances its surf heritage and curiosity towards pop culture – be it art, music or fashion.

The site aims to be live by July.

This win is another milestone for WeAreDigital since Founder Karson Stimson split from the BlueFreeway group to form WeAreDigital in September 2009.
