Ryvalmedia appointed digital media agency for Mydeal.com.au

Digital retail marketplace, Mydeal.com.au has appointed Ryvalmedia as its SEM and performance media agency of record following a competitive agency review.

The Australian e-commerce platform has enlisted the media agency to cover SEM, digital media performance strategy, planning, trading and implementation, “with scope for data, technology, and analytics project work”, according to the agency.

This is the latest win for Ryvalmedia in a quickly growing client list, following the agency’s launch last year.

Managing director of Ryvalmedia, Joseph Pardillo said that his team was “humbled” to be partnering up with one of the “earliest online retailers to launch a marketplace in Australia”.

“Working alongside them and advancing their technology and media performance processes, with the collective ambition to be at the forefront of consumer experience in e-commerce, is an experience in itself. Their exciting roadmap of growth and opportunities, including expanding their own private label business, positions the MyDeal business well in a sector that is seeing accelerated growth.

MyDeal appointed former Catch.com.au chief marketing officer, Ryan Gracie as its first CMO in May this year. Gracie said that he believes this is the correct appointment to take MyDeal to the next level.

“After a detailed tendering process, it became clear quite early that Ryvalmedia is the performance agency that’s going to take MyDeal through the next rapid phase of growth. MyDeal is a brand on a steep upwards trajectory, and Ryvalmedia mirrors and compliments this ambition.”

Gracie also said that it was not just the agency’s capabilities, but the people involved that are important to him.

Mydeal.com.au was launched in 2011, and is listed on the ASX, connecting consumers in Australia with more than 1,000 retailers through its proprietary marketplace platform. and according to Ryvalmedia, MyDeal has over 900,000 active users.

MyDeal launched a TVC campaign nationwide in late 2020 via Cyclone Creative Agency.

Ryvalmedia commenced work this month with MyDeal, adding to its roster which includes MYOB, Openpay, AKA and New Era. The agency made a number of promotions and hires this month follow recent business wins, as it continues to scale up, including the appointment of Marcus Betschel to general manager.
