Heath has also held roles at Clemenger BBDO, AMV BBDO London and BBH London.

Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne chief strategy officer Alex Speakman said: “Joe has excelled in his role over the past four-plus years leading the strategy for Toyota, playing a key role in the development of iconic work and helping to lift the level of strategic thinking across the board at the agency. More than that, Joe has become an integral part of the agency leadership team.”

Speakman remains as chief strategy officer in Melbourne, and Heath leads strategy team across brand, retail, digital, social, innovation planning and CX.

Saatchi & Saatchi general manager Georgia Jones commented: “Joe is one of the best strategists I have had the pleasure of working with. His deep and varied experience gives him a unique perspective that makes him not only a fantastic department lead but also an incredible partner for our clients.

“Between Joe, Alex and the wider team, I feel confident we have one of the most formidable strategy departments in the country.”

The appointment is effective immediately.
