Saatchi’s hires Yahoo!7 social strategist, ‘Our goal is not just keeping up with media trends, but making them’
Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney’s new executive planning director Jason Lonsdale has made his hire – Suz Koch from Yahoo!7.
Koch, a social media strategist at Yahoo!7 who spent four years with the company, joins the ad agency as a social strategist.
Lonsdale said: “Our baseline goal is not just keeping up with media trends, but making them. Suz immediately impressed us with her social media experience, robust thinking and above all, her ‘boots and all’ attitude. With the role and scope of planning changing so rapidly it’s a no-brainer to have top specialists like Suz on board to help us deliver a truly integrated communications platform for clients.”
Lonsdale joined Saatchi’s from Canadian agency Taxi in January.
He was the second major hire by CEO Michael Rebelo following the signing of ECD Damon Stapleton from South African agency TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris.
