Sales exec Lisa Squillace departs Paramount/Network Ten

Paramount Australia & New Zealand national sales director, Lisa Squillace, has left the business.

Squillace led the national sales all screens team, responsible for all advertising revenue across Network Ten, 10 Play and Paramount+.

A statement from Squillace said she was proud of the work she has achieved at Network Ten, part of Paramount Australia and New Zealand, in the four years she has been there.

“From building a high-performing sales team and establishing and maintaining operational rhythm, and of course driving revenue, I know that I have achieved my goals in this role with commercial success and market accolades for the team, our partners and advertisers.

“I’m looking forward to my next challenge and would like to sincerely thank Rod for his support and my entire sales team for their passion and commitment to each other and the business.”

Paramount ANZ chief sales officer, Rod Prosser, said of Squillace’s departure: “Lisa had been a valued member of Paramount ANZ as the national sales director over the past four years.

“Her commercial acumen and ability to deliver incredible outcomes for the network are well recognised by Paramount ANZ and she was instrumental in developing and implementing the strategy for the return of the internal sales team.

“We thank Lisa for identifying and creating opportunities across all screens including Broadcast Linear Television, Digital and Paramount+ SVOD service. I know I speak for all who worked closely with Lisa in saying she will be missed.”

Squillace joined Paramount/Ten in early 2019, following a legal dispute between the network and Squillace’s former employer, Seven West Media. Seven was ordered to pay nearly $70,000 to Squillace following her departure. Squillace was director of program partnerships prior to her departure and had been with Seven for more than nine years.

Legal proceedings began when Squillace resigned with the intention to join Ten before the end of her non-compete period. While she received payments for entitlements from Seven, she was restricted in beginning her role until the February of 2019.

Paramount recently let go of several executives in the streaming, marketing and operations departments as a part of the global restructure.

Those departed include SVP & head of streaming, Liz Baldwin, general manager Adelaide and vice president operations and facilities, Frank Filosi, and vice president of marketing, Jean Jenkins.

A statement from Paramount said a new sales structure will be announced later in the week, although no details of what Squillace intends to do next were available.
