Samsung hunts for a new PR agency
Samsung Electronics Australia is pitching its public relations account, Mumbrella understands.
Incumbent agency Edelman was handed the account in 2010 from its previous agency Weber Shandwick.
It is unclear whether Edelman will be participating in the pitch process.
Last year Samsung resigned Australian surfer Sally Fitzgibbons as the company’s brand ambassador.
This year Edeleman has landed the Kellogg’s PR account and earlier this month it won Nissan’s global PR account.
Other clients of Edelman include Disney, KFC, Kellogg Australia, Adobe, GSK, NIVEA, Kleenex, Huggies, PayPal, LinkedIn and CBA.
Both Edelman and Samsung have been approached for comment.
