GPY&R Sydney names new MD in reshuffle after departure of Andrew Dowling
In a management reshuffle, GPY&R Sydney has named executive director Sasha Firth as the new managing director of the agency.
Her appointment comes after the resignation of Andrew Dowling, who has worked with Y&R in Australia and Indonesia.
Firth has been with the agency for four years and has been leading the agency’s Brand Asset Valuator.
Announcing her appointment, Y&R Group ANZ CEO, Phil McDonald, said Firth would bring new energy to the agency in Sydney.
“Sasha is a highly regarded strategic business partner with a proven ability to effectively collaborate and change business outcomes for our clients,” McDonald said.
“She adds great energy to our team’s culture in Sydney and is a trusted partner for her clients. I’ve worked with her closely for a while now and am delighted to see her step into the role, leading GPY&R Sydney.
Firth said she was looking forward to working across the agency.
“It’s a privilege to lead the talented GPY&R Sydney team and work closely with VML’s Aden Hepburn and IdeaWorks’ Danny Lattouf to help realise our shared ambition for the businesses,” Firth said.
McDonald paid tribute to Dowling on his departure.
“Andrew has been a major contributor to the Y&R business in both Australia and Indonesia over the past several years. His passion for our business will be missed and we wish him the very best with his next endeavour,” he said.
