Sauce Communications offers help to struggling rural businesses with comms services competition

Sauce Communications, based in Leeton NSW, is giving away more than $8,000 in communications and marketing support to COVID-19 affected rural businesses.

Director Liane Gawne acknowledged that her own business had been impacted by the pandemic, which inspired her to extend an offering to those in need.

Sauce Communications is hoping to help regional and rural businesses

“Sauce was hit hard by COVID-19, so we know what it’s like being in the trenches and trying to rebuild. In response, we’ve developed four low cost recovery communications packages to support other businesses on the same journey,” said Gawne.

“And because we’re all in this together, we’re giving away two of our packages over the next two weeks, plus another eight strategic counsel sessions to help businesses deal with a specific marketing or communications issue. We know firsthand what devastating impacts COVID-19 has had across many sectors and want to play a part in helping other businesses in rural and regional NSW get back on top of their game.”

Two COVID-19 External Communications Recovery Packages will be given away before 24 July. One will be given to a business in the Riverina and another will be provided to a business in any regional or rural area in NSW.

Another eight businesses will receive a free strategic counsel session with advice on a specific issue. Four businesses will be from the Riverina and four from wider NSW.

Businesses must subscribe to the agency’s newsletter and complete a survey asking the questions ‘What impact has COVID-19 had on your business?’ and ‘How can Sauce help you get back on top of your game?’.

Gawne said: “We’re passionate about rural and regional Australia and want to help as many businesses rebuild after COVID-19 as possible. While we’ve always worked across Australia, we’re focusing on providing local support first, so I’m really excited to have half of our packages set aside for businesses in the Riverina region where our head office is based.”

Winners will be announced on 20 July and 27 July.
