SBS director of marketing Helen Kellie said in a statement: “This rebrand has been part of a journey to get to the core of what SBS represents; its beliefs and values and then creating a consistent hallmark which we could integrate across the business.

“We have sought to ensure and respect that each program has its own identity and place in the mind of viewers, while also being representative of the wider SBS family.”

As part of the redevelopment SBS’s nightly news bulleting and online daily news service has shortened its name from SBS World News Australia to SBS World News.

The new logos and brand assets were created in-house by a team of SBS designers under the direction of Kellie and SBS creative director Nol Davis.
