SCA and Qantas Business Rewards target local businesses in new regional campaign

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is targeting local businesses across regional Australia with its new ‘Advertise Local’ campaign in partnership with Qantas Business Rewards.

The national campaign encourages advertising on SCA’s local Hit and Triple M radio stations by incentivising small to medium enterprises (SMEs) with free Qantas points.

SCA ‘Advertise Local’ Campaign

SMEs that join Qantas Business Rewards will receive Qantas points when sign up with SCA’s exclusive program for regional clients, SCA Access,  and advertise with SCA local stations.

Businesses will receive 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible products, and 1.5 points for every $1 spent if they are SCA Access Plus members.

SCA hopes that local audiences will continue to be supportive of their local businesses, with recent research indicating that 93% of SCA listeners believe that locally owned businesses are an essential part of the community.

Meanwhile, more than 80% that they feel proud to purchase from locally-owned businesses.

Head of regional strategy and development – sales, Joel Feuerherdt, said SCA remains committed to supporting local businesses.

“As a media business operating in local communities, we are committed to supporting local businesses.

“Our own research has found that local advertising works and grows business. Radio’s immediacy and engagement makes it the perfect place to advertise.

“We are thrilled to be working with Qantas Business Rewards to bring more value to our customers through this partnership.”

Both new and existing SME advertisers are eligible, and SCA will use its extensive owned assets for the campaign including TV, radio and audio ads, plus social, YouTube, and retail out of home components.

The campaign launches nationally during October.
