SCA and Targetspot to exclusively represent ‘affluent’ Sonos Radio in Australia
Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has announced an industry-first partnership with digital audio tech company Targetspot to represent Sonos Radio in Australia.
The new deal sees them become the exclusive advertising representative for the free radio streaming service from high-end speaker company Sonos.

SCA & Targetspot will represent Sonos Radio
Sonos Radio launched in April 2020, and combines music, news, sports, and stations especially curated by artists from more than 60,000 local and global stations.
Sonos and Targetsport also partnered in April, and under this new deal, SCA is set to become Targetspot’s exclusive advertising sales partner, offering advertising inventory on Sonos Radio among others for the first time.
With 400,000 Australian homes already connected with Sonos speakers, SCA said the new deal will give advertisers unique access to the Australian connected home.
Chief sales officer Brian Gallagher said SCA is “thrilled” to collaborate with Targetspot and described the Sonos audiences as “affluent, high-income earners with families and dedicated to quality audio and beautiful design”.
SCA’s addressable audio portfolio now grows, with Sonos Radio joining music discovery platform Soundcloud and SCA-owned Hit and Triple M Instream.
“Sonos Radio has a discerning audience and complements our InStream addressable audio offering across Hit and Triple M, as well as our exclusive partnership with SoundCloud. Digital audio on demand listening is experiencing exponential growth, providing advertisers with new opportunities for highly targeted, addressable advertising,” Gallagher added.

The new partnership is effective immediately, and CEO and founder of Targetspot parent company AudioValley, Alexandre Saboundjian, added that the deal fits with his company’s rational of building reach globally.
“I am already looking forward to this partnership with SCA, one of Australia’s leading media companies. This agreement dovetails perfectly with our strategic rationale of speeding up growth by building a strong international reach,” he said.
