Schweppes Australia partners with Diageo for cocktail campaign

Schweppes Australia has partnered with Diageo Australia for its new national campaign which sees the brand highlight how its products can be matched with Diageo products to create the perfect cocktails for summer.

Created by GPY&R Melbourne, ‘This Calls for A Cocktail’ builds upon the 2012 ‘Cocktail Revolution’ campaign as it aims to emphasise that cocktail’s can be suited for any day of the week.

The campaign includes 27 individually tailored 15-second TV spots as the campaign has been created in conjunction with a complex media buy to allow each piece of work to reflect its context, including the medium, the day of the week, or the weather.

GPY&R Melbourne ECD Ben Coulson said: “We will be reacting to every interesting cultural opportunity across the summer, with new recipes to be invented and celebrated in any and every medium.”

Hanan Eissa, senior category manager at Schweppes said, “We fell in love with the idea as soon as we saw it. This Calls for a Cocktail speaks to everything we want to do on Schweppes mixers in terms of shifting the dial on how people perceive cocktails and tapping into a whole new range of occasions. And to make 27 TV ads? Who could say no to that.”
