Sea Patrol take Nine’s TV ratings to safe harbour

Nine’s positioning of Sea Patrol into the Monday night slot vacated by Underbelly appears to have paid off, with the network winning the TV ratings night.  

The first episode of the new series of the naval drama pulled in a TV audience of 1.4m, according to preliminary ratings figures from OzTam.

Monday night’s free TV audience share: Nine 26.2%; Seven 25.9%; Ten 23.7%; ABC 18%; SBS 6.2%

Monday’s top 10 shows:

  1. Seven News – Seven 1.7m
  2. Today Tonight – Seven 1.6m
  3. Sea Patrol – Nine 1.4m
  4. MasterChef – Ten 1.4m
  5. Nine News – Nine 1.3m
  6. Two and a Half Men 7:30pm – Nine 1.3m
  7. A Current Affair – Nine 1.3m
  8. Recruits – Ten 1.2m
  9. Two and a Half Men 7:00pm – Nine 1.2m
  10. Home and Away – Seven 1.2m

Meanwhile, the ratings number to watch from tonight’s shows is Nine’s Home Made, which is up against The Zoo on Seven and Talkin Bout Your Generation on Ten. Another third place finish could trigger a scheduling change for the struggling home makeover show.
