Seamus Byrne to edit CNET after Pam Carroll’s departure to Optus
Seamus Byrne has been named as the new editor of tech site CNET following the departure of Pam Carroll to become the editorial manager at Optus Digital media.
Byrne is moving across to the CBS Interactive-owned site from Allure Media where he was publisher of tech and gaming sites including Gizmodo and Kotaku.
CBS Interactive’s GM Jo Gaines said: “To find someone not only as experienced, but also with the vision and passion that Seamus possesses is a massive coup for the CBSi Australia. We have big plans for CNET and we are convinced he’s the right person to take the site to new heights.”
Byrne continues as an occasional tech expert guest on Seven’s morning show Sunrise.
You’ll find that it’s Pam Carroll, not Sue. And also Sunrise is a “morning” show.
