On his yearly outing, Santa does a bloody good job avoiding detection by children around the world. But, in an accelerated world of intelligence and surveillance, Dr Mumbo has had concerns for St Nick’s ability to remain unseen this Christmas.

However, Dr Mumbo can now relax as it seems Amplify has found a solution. Phew!

The agency’s global innovation team has found a way to keep him a secret – with the use of AI.

Inspired by anti-surveillance fashion, the team has developed a prototype to solve Santa’s biggest issue, protecting the magic of the festive season. Dr Mumbo is jealous; they look good in camouflage.

Across the agency’s five office cities — Sydney, Paris, LA, New York and London — Santa will be able to evade facial recognition software and confuse algorithms by wearing a special suit that blends in with wildlife, allowing his movement to go unnoticed.

In Sydney, the suit will make the jolly old man blend in with Dr Mumbo’s favourite squawker, the seagull, while in Paris, he’ll be a pesky little pigeon.

In LA, he’ll be detected as a raccoon, a rat in New York and a fox in London.

The suits, which Dr Mumbo thinks are strangely very colourful for camouflage, can be seen below.

Good luck Santa, Dr Mumbo hopes to be on the nice list this year.
