Seek company research campaign puts spotlight on quirky perks of the modern office
Quirky perks offered by some Australian companies as they attempt to follow the lead of Silicon Valley have inspired Seek’s new jobseeker campaign.
With some companies offering employees sleep pods, baristas, gyms, pet days and other perks, Seek’s campaign takes the practice to extremes as a new employee discovers his job boasts more than just free coffee and fruit, with Rabbit Day, Cat Day, Dog Day and, disconcertingly, Beach Day.
The campaign by Clemenger BBDO in Melbourne showcases how having interesting perks doesn’t mean a company is a great place to work.

Babi Kahveci, Seek’s brand and candidate manager, says the key to a more fulfilling career is finding the right cultural fit.
“More than half of the population have felt that a company didn’t live up to its initial impression – whether found in an interview, on their website or in a position description,” Kahveci said.
“Seek’s company reviews uncover what it’s really like to work for a company.”
The campaign’s creative director, Clemenger’s Ant Phillips, said the campaign was a chance to have some fun with what is actually a serious issue for job candidates.
“More often than not, new employees won’t find out what it’s really like to work at a company until it’s too late,” Phillips said.
The campaign launched over the weekend with roadblocks across TV and video and bespoke social media edits and extensive outdoor including interactive panels.
