Seven rules Wednesday night with a 34% daily share in the absence of Married At First Sight

Without the reality juggernaut of Married At First Sight to battle against, Seven has taken the win for Wednesday night with a 34% network share.

The top watched shows of the night were Seven News, which hit 1.02m viewers, and My Kitchen Rules which jumped to 916,000 metro viewers – up 25% from the same slot last week.

Seven News was the most watched show for the night

Nine’s most watched show for the night was the Nine News on 896,000 metro viewers.

ABC had a win with Hard Quiz, 728,000 metro viewers tuned in, followed by their news offering which saw 683,000 metro viewers.

Ten’s most watched show for the night was Bondi Rescue, which topped The Project and secured 399,000 metro viewers. The Project saw 391,000 metro viewers tune in at 7pm, tying it with the second episode of Bondi Rescue.

However, a strong night for 10 Bold helped the network claw back some daily share. It was the most watched multi-channel with 5.1% of the share, followed by 7TWO on 3.4%.

Ten landed a 16.0% network share overall, with ABC taking 18.8% and Nine landing 24.3%.

In the channel share, Seven had a convincing win with 25.1%, followed by Nine on 16.3%, ABC on 14.2% and Ten on 8.6%.

SBS Network took 6.9% and SBS held 4.7%.
