Seven secures a Tuesday night win, as the The Chase Australia tops entertainment

The Chase Australia on Seven nabbed an easy entertainment win on Tuesday night, as the network pipped Nine in overall share.

The game show aired to 572,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s evergreen drama series Home and Away in entertainment with 505,000.

MasterChef Australia on Ten secured 434,000 metro viewers. Parental Guidance on Nine, which premiered on Monday night, had 433,000 metro viewers.

Seven News was the #1 metro program of the night with 960,000 metro viewers. However, Nine News was the program that won all three key advertising demos.

As mentioned, Seven Network secured the most share last night with 27.9%, closely followed by Nine with 27.1%. Ten had a 19.2% overall share, while ABC had 16.3%.

Seven and Nine, however, tied as the top-rated primary channels of the night with a 19.1% share each. The top-rated multichannel of the night was 7Two with 3.9%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 30 May, Seven News was the #1 program with a Total TV audience of 1.591 million, with a 3% uplift and 46,000 on BVOD.

The program with the biggest uplift of 34% was The Rookie on Seven with 537,000 total audience and 58,000 on national BVOD.
