Seven to air Tiger King special revealing ‘what really went down’
Seven will air a documentary next week which claims to tell the true story behind Netflix’s runaway success, Tiger King.
The TMZ produced follow-up, to air on Seven next Tuesday at 7:30pm, says it will expose shocking footage, answer burning questions and present the key players, uncensored.
The show is billed as an exclusive.
“Channel Seven presents an investigation into the explosive true-crime story everyone is talking about, with exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage,” publicity for the show said.
“This premiere special will delve into what really went down, exploring outstanding questions about whether or not Joe Exotic is guilty, an inside look into Carole Baskin’s husband’s disappearance and the current status of the new investigation.”
Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness was released on Netflix in March, and has been touted as one of the streaming service’s most successful Original programs to date.
Currently on Tuesdays during prime-time, Seven is airing House Rules: High Stakes.
Seven with its finger on the pulse as always – airing a doco about a show that was red hot three-to-four weeks ago, and that everyone stopped talking about two weeks ago.

I know right? Why can’t they catch on to trends, plan, produce, edit, promote, schedule, and air within two weeks during a pandemic? Outrageous.

I don’t think it’s the logistics that are the problem here. It’s that they still went into it knowing how far behind the eight ball they are on the story. Why not put money and resources into finding the next Tiger King and creating their own ten part series? This is lazy filmmaking.
