Seven West Media CFO Dave Boorman resigns
Seven West Media’s is hunting for another chief financial officer after Dave Boorman today resigned after nearly two years with the company.
It is the second time in less than two years the media company has been left looking for a CFO after the resignation of Peter Lewis in May 2013. Boorman joined in June 2013 following nearly eight years with Vodafone as chief financial officer.
In a note to staff, Tim Worner, CEO of Seven West Media, announced the resignation, saying: “It is with regret that I announce the resignation of chief financial officer, Dave Boorman.
“Dave has achieved much in the time he has been with us, executing changes in procurement and the company’s debt structure, as well as assessing our new business strategic options and driving the cost program across our operating businesses. I wish to thank him for the way he has gone about achieving so much, which is with enthusiasm, focus and respect.
“We appreciate the work of a true business professional and excellent CFO and it goes without saying that we wish him every success in the next phase of his career.”
Kerry Stokes, chairman of Seven West Media, said: “Dave has been an excellent contributor during his time with us, bringing improvements across many aspects of the business and impressing us with his approach. The Board and I are sorry to see him go and we wish him well for the future.”
Deputy CFO Warwick Lynch has stepped into the acting CFO position while a search for Boorman’s replacement continues.
Didn’t Nick Chan, Seven West Chief Operating Officer, just ‘resign’ before Christmas?
Now their CFO.
I reckon there is trouble a-brewing at Seven.
