Seven West post $115m financial year

Seven West has posted strong annual results, published yesterday on their website.

The company, which boasts the Seven network in its portfolio, as well as Pacific Magazines, Yahoo7, and The West Australian newspaper reported a group profit after tax of $115.1m, a rise of 19.6% on last year.

Focusing on television, the company saw revenue growth of 8.4% while reported cost growth at 3%. As reported earlier this month, the Seven Network was the strongest out of the free-to-air networks revenue share, with 37.6% of the metro market, which equates to around 13 million viewers per month.

Across the demographics, Seven saw a raise in each sector:
People 16-39: 36.5% – up by 16.8%
People 18-49: 37.0% – up by 14.4%
People 25-54: 36.9% – up by 13.6% and

Total individuals: 39% – up by 15.3%

While Seven has 10 of the top 20 regular primary Network programs with a share of 38.9% (total people), it also held 14 of the top 20 regular digital network programs, with a share of 9.9% and 7TWO being the number one digital commercial network in 2011.
