Seven wins the night, while Masterchef beats Underbelly in key demographics
Ten’s Masterchef clocked another ratings record with its Sunday night Challenge show drawing 1.89m, while the finale of Seven’s Bones saw 1.33m tune in.
In overall free-to-air TV viewing for Sunday, Seven had the strongest result with a 26.3 per cent channel share. It was followed by Nine with 25.7 per cent and Ten with 21.4 per cent, according to preliminary overnight Oztam data in the main metro markets.
The season finale of US crime show Bones saw a slight rise in average viewers compared to last week, but the 8:30 time slot was led by Nine’s Underbelly with 1.598m.
In another season finale Seven’s The Castle ended with 1.025m tuning in, which was slightly up compared to last week. It also won its 9:30pm time slot against Nine CSI and Ten’s House.
Meanwile, among viewers 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s, Masterchef led, followed by Underbelly and then Bones.
This is a change from last Sunday when Underbelly led in all three demographics.
