Seven’s Instant Hotel best commercial performer in lacklustre TV night

ABC’s Hard Quiz was the winner of a lacklustre Wednesday evening’s TV that saw Seven’s Instant Hotel perform the best of the night time commercial TV entertainment, according to OzTam’s preliminary ratings.

Seven performed well earlier in the evening, with Home and Away winning 663,000 metro viewers in the 7pm slot, however it was the network’s news and current affairs programs that dominated the ratings.

In the peak evening time, Instant Hotel attracted 611,000 metro viewers against the ABC’s 7.30 with 633,000 and Hard Quiz with 639,000. Nine’s The Voice Kids had an audience of 454,000 and Ten’s Cram 290,000.

The most watched show of the evening was Seven News with 989,000 metro viewers beating Nine’s 890,000.

Overall for the night, Seven attracted 20.3% of the metro audience with Nine following with 15.8%. Ten trailed with 8.6%, beaten out by the ABC which had a 12.7% audience share.
