Seven’s MKR juggernaut roars on another low-rating Thursday

In another another dreary Thursday night for television viewing, only two non-news shows eclipsed the 1m-mark.

Seven’s Home & Away rated above 1m, while the My Kitchen Rules juggernaut continues to roll, rating just shy of 1.8m, according to OzTam’s preliminary overnight metro figures.

Up against MKR was the second showing of Catalyst on ABC1, which was down around 100,000 viewers on its debut last week, and Ten’s The Biggest Loser, which rated with half of MKR’s audience – but was Ten’s only top-ten show. The ABC’s The Straits, on at 8.30pm, has steadily dwindled since its 600,000 debut at the beginning of February, rating with 370,000 last night.

MKR is to draw to a close on Tuesday of next week, with UK documentary series Property Ladder, which follows amateur renovators looking to make a profit, to replace it in the 7:30pm time slot.
