Shane Warne Memorial had 829k metro on Seven and 403k metro on Nine

Coverage of the late Australian cricketer Shane Warne’s State Memorial Service last night had 829,000 metro viewers on Seven and 403,000 metro viewers on Nine. The service was broadcast on Seven and 9Gem respectively.

Seven’s coverage of the service topped all three key demographics (16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54).

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 23 March, Wednesday’s episode of Married At First Sight was the top program nationally across linear, with 2.026 million viewers, including 570,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 54%, which was the program with the highest uplift.

For entertainment, Seven’s The Chase Australia topped with 506,000 metro viewers. Next was ABC’s Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell with 418,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s Travel Guides, which was the premiere of its fifth season last night, had 365,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News was the highest watched program of the night with 942,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 932,000 metro viewers. Nine News 6:30 followed with 821,000 metro viewers, then Nine News with 812,000 metro viewers. The Latest: Seven News came next with 779,000 metro viewers. ABC News had 536,000 metro viewers, then ABC’s 7.30 with 428,000 metro viewers.

In terms of network share, Seven had the largest with 33.2%, followed by Nine with 27.8%. ABC followed with 17.6%, then Ten with 14.2%.
