Sharon Cookson handed head of strategy and content role at OMD Melbourne

OMD Melbourne has promoted the director of the agency’s branded content arm, Sharon Cookson, to a wider role running the strategy team.

The appointment follows a restructure of OMD’s strategy, branded content and social media divisions into a broader strategic community which will fall under Cookson’s remit.

Cookson ends a three-year stint as director of OMD Fuse. Before that, she was managing partner of ZenithOptimedia New Zealand.

Among Cookson’s recent work at OMD Fuse was a spot for Western Star butter starring Masterchef host George Calombaris.

OMD Melbourne’s clients include Mazda, Fonterra Brands Australia, Roadshow Films and Entertainment, Sensis, Dulux and BUPA.
