Sharyn Ghidella announces next move after Seven Network departure

Only weeks after announcing her shock departure from the Seven Network, beloved TV news presenter Sharyn Ghidella has announced her next move.

On Thursday afternoon, it was confirmed that Ghidella will return to Network 10 as presenter of Queensland’s 10 News First.

Ghidella first worked at Network 10 in 1990 before moving to Nine in 1992 and eventually Seven in 2007 as a presenter for Weekend Sunrise, before moving to Today Tonight. Then, she took up the newsreader role at 7NEWS Brisbane in 2013, alongside Max Futcher.

“Returning to 10 News First feels like coming home. Network 10 provided me my first opportunity to work in a metropolitan newsroom and I have nothing but fond memories of my time there in the early 90s,” Ghidella said.
