Shelley Hammond joins Daylight Agency as director of agency operations

PR and communications agency Daylight Agency has hired Shelley Hammond as its director of agency operations.

In her new role, Hammond will be responsible for the Daylight Agency’s client retention and growth, employee development and overall management of the team.

Hammond joins as director of agency operations

Hammond joins the agency from her previous stint as the market vice president of Younique Products.

During her career, she has also held positions at Telstra, iSentia, Undertow Media and Brand New Solutions.

“It was an easy choice to join this growing agency and be part of a team who are authentic, world-class operators delivering impactful business results for their clients through meaningful work,” Hammond said in a statement.

Chris Gray, managing director at Daylight Agency, added: “This year has been transformational for Daylight and the addition of Shelley to our team is the icing on the cake. She brings a dynamic charisma to our team and her leadership skills are second to none.

“On top of this, her experience in corporate communications globally will be invaluable to our clients and staff members.”

Hammond’s appointment comes one month after the agency opened a government relations division led by David Begg.

The Daylight Agency launched in August last year when public relations agency ICON International Communications merged with advertising consultancy chris+geoff.
