August 5, 2011 –

SheSpot media portfolio today announced the appointment of Prue Cox to their sales management team as Victorian Sales Director. Cox will fill the role currently occupied by Tamara Pannett while she takes maternity leave.

Adding to the current Internet-strong management team, Cox brings more than a decade of advertising and sales management experience to the role. She commenced her online sales career as one of the earliest employees at Yahoo! in Australia before joining ninemsn as National Advertising Manager. Her impressive media employment history includes being part of the team who started CaféScreen in Australia. Most recently she has held the role of Brand and Content Manager at Abundant Media, a branded content agency.

Cox joins Katie May (Kidspot Founder and CEO, previously with SEEK), Miffy Coady (Commercial Director, previously with ninemsn), Natalie Mactier (Business Development Director, previously with SEEK), Sally Millett (Director of Partnerships, previously with ACP Magazines and ninemsn) and Natalie Douglas (NSW Sales Director, previously with Fairfax Digital) to round off one of the most experienced and insightful female-targeted advertising networks in Australia.

According to Katie May, Founder and CEO of Kidspot, Cox’s appointment is yet another demonstration of the group’s strength in the marketplace. SheSpot is currently the fourth largest lifestyle network in Australia.

“Prue shares our passion for innovative, online solutions for brands. Her background, with some of the most significant names in the digital space, and deep understanding of the Australian advertising market will see her step seamlessly into the role to lead our client efforts in Victoria. Prue’s wealth of media experience will help us provide expanded offerings to partners and advertisers interested in connecting with Australian women online.”

“Brand marketers in Australia are increasingly interested in engaging consumers with premium content, connecting their brands through social and community channels and investing in partnerships that build long term connections and affinity for their brand.” said Cox. “I’ve spent the last 11 years working closely with brands to evolve their marketing strategies and take advantage of consumers changing media habits and expectations. I have watched Kidspot in particular lead the market in the solutions that brands are interested in. I am excited to be part of their great platform and look forward to representing the full suite of innovative sites in the SheSpot portfolio.”
