SheSpot appoints Sally Millet

SheSpot has drafted ACP’s Sally Millet into the role of national sales director.

The announcement:

SheSpot media portfolio today announced the appointment of former ACP Group Sales Manager Sally Millett to the SheSpot executive team as National Sales Director.  Millett replaces Miffy Coady who will move in to the newly created role of Commercial Director. The announcement comes only a month after luring former Fairfax Digital GSM Natalie Douglas to the group in a clear demonstration of the female-centric ad vertical’s strong market position.

A true veteran of the Australian online industry, Millett was one of the earliest employees at Yahoo! in Australia before joining ninemsn as National Strategic Sales Manager. Her impressive media employment history includes an executive role at Channel 9 prior to moving to ACP where she has held the role of GSM Women’s Lifestyle Magazines for the last 18 months. Millett joins the Internet-strong SheSpot leadership team that includes Katie May (Kidspot Founder and CEO, previously with SEEK) and Miffy Coady (previously with ninemsn).

According to Katie May, Founder and CEO of Kidspot, Millett’s appointment is seen as a coup that will assist SheSpot to build on the group’s significant achievements since forming in February last year.

“Sally brings more than 12 years of advertising, sales management and start-up media experience from some of the best names in digital – including Yahoo! and ninemsn – to the SheSpot executive team. Sally’s background makes her the ideal person to lead SheSpot’s sales efforts as we continue to build the vertical into the easiest way for advertisers to attract, engage and build relationships with Australian women online. We are thrilled to have her on board and are confident the business will immediately benefit from her deep experience and leadership.”

Equally as enthusiastic, Millet added “SheSpot is one of Australia’s most dynamic media groups right now, meeting the needs of the female consumer while providing advertisers with a unique, high quality offering. I love Katie and Miffy’s passion for the business and I’m excited to join a group of like-minded people where I can have input into the future direction and growth of the business.”
