Shift makes three redundancies, creative director Colin Sevitt departs

Sevitt

Colin Sevitt, a creative director at Shift, has left the agency along with two junior creatives.

Sevitt’s exit marks the end of a five-year stint with the STW Group agency formerly known as The Brand Shop, where he worked with former ECD Monty Noble and managing director Gavin Larkin.

In the last 12 months, Sevitt has worked under current ECD Raj Rabindranath at Shift, which rebadged and repositioned as a brand and marketing strategy agency last March.

He has worked on brands including CommSec, Kimberly-Clark, Valvoline, Sanitarium, Australian Pork, Deep Spring, Blue Tongue and Moet Hennessy. Sevitt is now working freelance.

Sevitt’s departure comes one month after the arrival of former Euro RSCG ECD Dale Rhodes as creative director and Nick Beckhurst as creative director of design.

Rhodes’ arrival came shortly after the departure of Rob Morrison, who left the agency after four months in January.

A statement sent to Mumbrella read:

The news of a small number of job losses at SHIFT is extremely hard and there will be anxious days to come for two employees and their families.

SHIFT will work in partnership with the affected employees to ensure this time of transition is as seamless as possible.

The announcement is a result of SHIFT’s consolidation of its team’s skills base to ensure it can continue to offer clients the best level of service possible.

SHIFT’s senior management team will continue to work closely with its highly skilled creative and management teams to ensure a high level of client service is maintained throughout this period of change.

Iain Good, Managing Director, SHIFT said: “With the highly skilled strategic and creative teams onboard, including Raj Rabindranath, Dale Rhodes and Nick Beckhurst, SHIFT is well positioned to move its business forward in today’s competitive market.”
