Sky New Zealand seeks Australian advertising sales representation

New Zealand’s leading pay TV broadcaster, Sky, is seeking representation for advertising sales in Australia.

The dual NZX and ASX-listed company has around one million paid customer relationships throughout New Zealand and is now focusing on its next stage of growth in Australia.

Earlier this year, Sky New Zealand launched Neon, its entertainment streaming platform, providing new options for advertisers wanting to reach Kiwis.

Sky chief media and data officer Lauren Quaintance said: “With the lion’s share of live sport, we can offer premium environments with incredibly high attention that deliver meaningful integration opportunities for our Australian brand partners.”

“We already have some strong relationships in Australia, and we’re now looking to strengthen and build on the work that has already been done to continue sharing Sky’s incredible story.”

Sky is home to a broad variety of content across live sports, entertainment, news, movies, and kids’ content, reaching four out of five New Zealanders through its portfolio of products and platforms every month.

This includes the Sky Box, Sky Pod, streaming platforms Sky Sport Now and Neon, as well as its free-to-air channel, Sky Open.

Sky is New Zealand’s leading content aggregator through partnerships with global providers such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount Global and NBCUniversal. The broadcaster also has a myriad of sports rights, including Premier League, Rugby League, Rugby, Netball, Cricket, Tennis, Golf, Basketball, F1, and Motor Racing.
