Sky News Australia adds channel to Samsung TV Plus
News Corp Australia’s Sky News Australia will launch a new free 24/7 channel on Samsung TV Plus.
Samsung’s TV Plus, is a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service with over 90 channels which launched in Australia in late 2020 for owners of Samsung Smart TVs. Currently Sky News Australia is available on Foxtel, which is jointly owned by News Corp Australia and Tesltra, as well as via its news streaming service Flash.
Available from 23 March 2023, the new Sky News Now brings on Channel 1010 will bring together content from across the network’s portfolio of channels including Sky News, Sky News Weather and Sky News Extra to create a new channel programmed exclusively for Samsung TV Plus Australian viewers.
Sky News Now is the network’s latest digital content expansion for the brand, which integrated its digital news offering into News Corp Australia’s news websites in mid 2021.
The new initiative is the first IPTV delivered channel in Sky News Australia’s portfolio of television assets.

Samsung TV Plus offers viewers 90+ live TV channels as well as thousands of movies and shows available live and on demand for free, on any connected Samsung smart TV model from 2017 onwards.
Sky News content is also available via dedicated free-to-air regional channel, Sky News Regional, which is broadcasts in select locations through the SCA and WIN networks.
