Slight drop in B&T and AdNews circulations
The circulation of media and marketing titles AdNews and B&T both dropped slightly, new data from the Circulation Audits Board reveals.
In the new numbers for the six months up to September 2011, AdNews had an average net distribution of 6,207, down from 6,386 in the corresponding period of 2010. Meanwhile B&T’s latest numbers were 5,399, down from 5,443 a year before.
AdNews signed up for CAB just over a year ago, after resigning from the Audit Bureau of Circulations shortly after its numbers dropped by 10% to just over 5000.
The other audited print title from the sector, Australian Creative, which publishes six times a year, recorded a CAB number of 3,006, slightly up from 2,969 a year before.
The print editions of other titles in the sector such as Campaign Brief, Media Week and Marketing magazine are not audited. AdNews, B&T, Marketing magazine and Australian Creative do not have their online audiences audited.
They should do what the SMH does and put a lorry load of copies on the lower concourse near the Opera House, where anyone can wander, with a sign next to them saying “Included in the price of your ticket”.
What ticket? A bus ticket?

Really…is this worth reporting, mumbrella, we get it, you have competitors who you think you are better than (and may well be right)
But this constant coverage of audit figures is really of no interest. Do you report every time a publisher declines in Numbers in other niche b2b sectors. No
You’re making yourself look cheap mumbrella….we know you’re better than that…..aren’t you?
