Sneezing outdoor GSK ad reacts to draughts

APN Outdoor has launched a series of interactive outdoor ads on its XtrackTV train station panels featuring a giant nose that sneezes when a gust of wind blows through the tunnel.

The campaign for GSK’s Otrivin nasal spray is running on the panels in the Sydney network and APN Outdoor is calling it a first for the Australian outdoor industry. 

APN Outdoor general manager of sales, Mark Fairhurst noted that agencies were beginning to find new ways to make ads engaging.

“From the very beginning XtrackTV has been recognised as a platform with boundless technological potential,” Fairhurst said.

“When coupled with full-motion video and audio in this captive environment, activations like Otrivin’s ensure greater cut through and consumer engagement.  GSK have leveraged this perfect platform for the product in the smartest way.”

APN Outdoor launched the XtrackTV panels in Sydney in 2015 and has since rolled them out in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.
