Somersby cider partners with the Australian Open

Somersby has been named the official cider partner of the 2023 Australian Open.

The announcement:

Australia’s favourite cider Somersby is bringing a new take to Melbourne Park as the official cider partner of the Australian Open 2023.

The first-time partnership will bring a drop of refreshing optimism to Grand Slam Oval, a welcomed pairing after a difficult two years of restrictions. The Somersby space is an invitation to be playful and generous, where tennis fans can relax and rejuvenate under a misted arbour with an ice-cold cider in hand.

Australian tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis was in Melbourne to announce the new partnership between Somersby and the AO.

“The AO is the highlight of the Aussie summer and one of my favourite tournaments of the year. It’s cool to be part of this announcement and great to have a refreshing brand like Somersby involved.”

Somersby brand manager, Liam Hale said the partnership was an exciting new venture for the brand which is synonymous with celebrating warm summer evenings together.

“With news cycles filling up with negativity, we tend to forget that good things are happening all around us. The way we see it, the glass is always half full if you want it to be.

“Our new Somersby Super Crisp is less sweet and more refreshing and perfect for sharing in the company of good friends, family, and odd acquaintances.

“We can’t wait for fans to enjoy a summer of tennis with the very taste of summer itself, Somersby.”
